SBI PO Exam Syllabus
The SBI PO exam selection process involves three phases:
1. Preliminary Examination: This is an objective test with three sections:
- English Language: Tests your grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Assesses your mathematical abilities and problem-solving skills in areas like arithmetic, algebra, percentages, etc.
- Reasoning Ability: Evaluates your logical thinking and reasoning skills through puzzles, arrangements, syllogisms, etc.
2. Main Examination: This is also divided into two parts:
- Objective paper (200 marks): This paper consists of four sections:
- Test of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: Combines reasoning ability with basic computer knowledge like hardware, software, and internet usage.
- Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation: Evaluates your ability to analyze and interpret data presented in various forms like charts, graphs, and tables.
- Test of General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness: Tests your knowledge of current affairs, banking concepts, economic policies, and financial markets.
- Test of English Language: Similar to the preliminary exam but might cover more advanced topics.
- Descriptive Test (50 marks): This paper assesses your writing skills through letter writing and essay writing.
3. Group Exercises & Interview: Shortlisted candidates will participate in group discussions and an interview to assess their suitability for the role. There’s a minimum qualifying mark set by the bank for these stages.
